"you will not be left dissapointed"

The tone of this book is set right from the start. It is creepy, foreboding and full of tension. Right from the outset you are left with an air of confusion which makes you want to race through the pages to discover what is going on.

We follow the story through the past and present, these time jumps are handled really well and add so much atmosphere to what is already, a richly told tale. The writing flows well and we are always aware of the characters thoughts and feelings and how they are developing as the story is told.

"mesmerized from the first page"

Firstly, if you want to enjoy this brilliant, breath taking story to its full potential then I suggest you go in blind, just settle down in your favourite reading chair, buckle yourself in and enjoy the ride. And believe me, it is one hell of a ride, it's a fast paced blend of thriller, spine chilling horror, history, and the supernatural with a added dash of romance. The story had me mesmerized from the first page, captivated by the author's vivid imagination stunningly described settings and diverse cast of characters. I would love to watch a film or tv adaptation of this unputdownable story, worth all the stars and more and very very highly recommended.

"held a mystery element"

A quite very well written book! A real mystery that keeps readers interested throughout. I definitely enjoyed this book more than I thought I would.
Honestly, the way this book was written was quite clever, if I do say so.

"blast to read"

It’s like a darkly twisted version of Groundhog Day... with plot twists that surprised me. Definitely one that kept me on the edge of my seat!

"drew me in immediately"

I can’t rave about this the way I want to, because I could easily spoil it for you. There is a slow, eerie build to this story. You get right into the character’s heads, as if you’re there and experience the confusion and anxiety. It is quite the experience reading this story.

"such a fascinating book"

It held my attention from the very beginning, and I found myself needing to know what would happen next. The author does a great job at making us understand how the characters themselves feel throughout the entire novel.

"malevolent atmosphere"

A good fantasy tale would not be complete without a nemesis and this role is fulfilled by Blaine. Power-hungry and driven by jealousy of the friendships and abilities of the friends, he will stop at nothing in his desire to destroy them.

"gave me goosebumps"

I picked this up and immediately I was with Alexia in the story. Everything about this book screamed creepy and fascinating too. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down until I knew what would happen next on more than two occasions.
